Are Saints Made After Death? Or Are We Saints Now?
In the book of Ephesisans, it says many things, including that we are saints now and should enjoy God now. Paul addresses the people at Ephesus as saints.
"Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus: Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ." Ephesians 1:1-2
Christians which are believers in Christ are saints (little ones, not the kind that the Catholic Church says have to be workers of miracles and lead lives of perfection.)
We are not to think of ourselves as great for "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." (This includes the Mother of Jesus Mary. She needed saving too. She was not sinless, which the Catholic Church teaches. She was also a sinner.)
We are sinners and therefore we sin. We are born sinners from the sin of Adam and Eve that was passed down to us. But God had a plan from the beginning, to save us. He told the Jews in times of old of a Savior who was coming- Jesus. When Jesus came, and died for us, all those who were waiting in a place like limbo, were released into heaven; that would be the Jews and people who died before Jesus came.
He said "I have come that all may have life and live more abundantly."
God does not want us to lead miserable lives! He came that we might live more abundantly!
And we can.
