Bite the bullet! How to Throw away stuff and Organize your home!!
Is Your House Getting Out of Hand??!!! Are you becoming a packrat or are one?
Here to help~Tips
I know it's hard for many people especially if they have more than one or two jobs to have the time or energy to clean the house. I think the best way, is to keep things as simple as possible, and do them the same way each time, as well as putting things in the same place each time, so that you don't confuse yourself or anyone else or make extra work!
When you make it a habit to put things in the same place every time, "A place for everything and everything in it's place", you will not lose things very often and you will sigh with relief!
I'm used to keeping my place clean on a regular basis. It used to be a bit of an obsession for me to have things spotless all the time. Now I let the place "relax" a bit and get lived in a bit before I tackle it all over again, which works out fine for me. But I'm really good at cleaning things up very quickly. I've got it down that I know what to throw out, how to quickly file things I need to save, and I'm blessed that I have a washer/dryer and dishwasher in my apartment.
I grew up in a home where both my parents were packrats and I am the complete opposite. For awhile that was the reason I went the extreme other way. I taught myself what to do to keep my place neat and I will share that with you. These are the steps you should follow.
Basic Tips You must follow
- When the mail comes, go thru it, and throw out eveything immediately you will not use or don't need
- Go through your closets and give to the poor all the things that don't fit, you'll never wear- bite the bullet! Don't hang on to things. You'll be blessed for helping others.
- Don't save things you think you might use, like plastic containers or plastic bags (a couple dozen is ok)
- Do your dishes daily
- Do your laundry daily
- Hire a maid if you don't have time
- Use paper plates if you are a busy mom
EVERY THING HAS A PLACE~THERE'S A PLACE FOR EVERYTHING
You may not be a neat freak or a perfectionist, but that does not mean you should not put things back where they belong when done using them. This will become a habit over time. Put your shoes away, Keep your kitchen spoons, cups, etc in the kitchen. Make sure the kids learn too, and pick up their toys and clean their room. Try not to spoil them. Kids actually long for discipline, direction, and chores to keep them busy and give them self esteem--I did.
Volunteer to help out around the house. Two or more hands helping out makes the work load alot easier. Ask your husband to pick up his socks and dirty laundry and at least put in in the hamper. Doing a wash would be great too. An attitude of disipline and orderliness can go a long way.
How do I make my home peaceful/beautiful?
Your five senses are what you have to experience the world with, so why not make your sanctuary, your home, a peaceful and enjoyalble place? I would recommend investing in some trees fake or real for visual relaxation. I also like waterfalls that you can buy in a store or lava lamp, some incense or scented candles, for your nose to enjoy. Clean soft sheets for the bed is nice and taking a bubble bath will soothe your skin. Nice ocean sounds to fall asleep to, and well for food...you can cook nice meals.
