Making money on Hubpages~Some Great Tips

Hubpages itself is a great place to make money on the internet, so if you're not a member yet, Join here. It seems today that the internet is all about making money, isn't it? You've got tons of places to purchase items and even the places you go to learn things have ads, don't they?

Well, I've only been on Hubpages for 4 months and I have not actually gotten a check yet from Google, but I have earned some change and I know it will grow over time. The key on hubpages when you start is to give it some time- for things to "grow". Once you put up a number of hubs and edit them correctly [don't forget the keyword tool], you'll be on your way. But I have very recently learned some essential tools I want to share to help you learn how to make money online....We at hubpages love writing but let's face it, for many of us, it is also our goal to find ways to make money while we write. Also, this is your home based business...It's a way for you to create your home business in a comfortable environment- your home, as long as you have the tools to do it

1. access the hubpages forum for lots of advice
2. quality writing, and long articles 300-800 words
3. patience
4. hard work~willing to learn the tricks of the trade

Believe me, it's not easy! If you can write, that's great. But on hubpages, you have to learn other things....like:

1. the keyword tool
2. back links
3. Settings on your pages
4. Other tools

So, if you're ready to put in some work, I'm here to help "spell out some things you may really need to know" and get you ready to make money online!!

Why is it always about money?

Why are there so many hubs about making money on the internet? Well, if you use the keyword tool, it appears that the top keywords that I've seen are keywords about "make money" and there are many of them too. So, I think that may be why some hubbers write so many hubs on how to make money!!

This passed me by, unfornately, I thought I was doing fine typing in my own ideas for keywords. I had searched Google and not located the actual keyword tool. So, for 3 months I was doing it wrong!

I think you will find most of it self explanatory. In the first one above, type in the actual website (the hub adress of your hub) then type in a few key words you would use to describe your hub. Then follow thru with your 50-100 keywords and pick the ones that are the best (about 30-50) I would have this window open while I'm typing in the keywords to my actual hub page.

Backlinks sound confusing, but it's simple. You want to get traffic from other places than just hubpages to increase your ability to make money. So, (don't push yourself too quickly, pace yourself, but when you get a chance, do a few things:

1. write for a blog if you think you're a good/popular blogger (put hub links on it)
2. write ezines....these are new, articles you've never used, so you can refer people to your hubpages.
3. The EASIEST: join facebook, twitter, reddit, digg, (or the ones of these you like) and post your hubpages articles.
4. The best places actually (of #3 above) have been said to be: about.com, associatedcontent.com, and squidoo.com for the reason that they get alot of traffic.

So, you're getting an idea of hubpages, right? And you do want to have a home busines besides writing. Here are some general tips:

• Enjoy yourself! Write to your heart's content about what inspires you and even what you personally know about. Unique and heartfelt hubs tend to be successful :-)
• Pace yourself- you've got lots of time to learn all the techniques...and it takes time to make money---I've been told at least 4-8 months to be sure.
• Sign up right away with Google Adsense account and I recomment Amazon too.

Settings on your pages- Always choose wordy titles with keywords in them if you can [For example, I've used the words making money in my title]  Don't worry if you don't understand all of this right away, Just bookmark the hub (top right under my picture) and come back.

Use the suggestlink tool when you're done.

Learn how to make your hubpage look sorta like this one: add pictures, survey, different text blocks, etc They are called capsules- use them well!!

Do not put a photo in until show about 200-300 words of text. (This will give maximum space for Google ads to place themselves)

Select HIGH (for amount of Google ads) This is under Title in the Edit mode! Once it's set it should stay that way for all your hubs though.
