Writing a book, any writer's dream!

I have always dreamed of being published, I guess. I mean, that is what most of us here at hubpages dream of.

Other Books I've Written

My first book is called "Inside my Mind", written about my childhood. It's unpublished due to poor printing and grammatical errors and it's not necessary to rehash the past.

My second book, "Writing and Photography" is on sale at blurb.com if you wanna look. It's a book of poems and pictures.

And of course my third book, my most accomplished work, is called The Road to Mental Health, a title my niece came up with after she edited it for me. It's actually longer than that. The full title is long and it is: The Road to Mental Health: A Practical Guide For the Consumer, Family, and Friends.

Why I Chose The Long Title

It felt important to me to make it longer of a title to explain exactly what the book is about and what kind of information it contains.

It's the best of the best hub articles I've written put together. I really wanted to write about fighting stigma, anxiety, how to be supportive, improve oneself, and share some healing poems and talk about how spirituality has helped me. It is after all, my book so I can put that in there :)

Sales and Distribution

So far my book is available on lulu.com, amazon.com, barnesandnoble.com and I ordered 20 printed copies which I sold to friends and family and I also sold some at an event called Rock into Recovery. At the event, I sold several copies, one to a woman who bought it for her son who has schizophrenia: this is what I wrote the book for, to help people so I am happy with that. My book also helped me get a third job interview for a job as a peer counselor. The director was very impressed he said. I have heard only positive things so far on this book. People had said it was much more positive than my first book.

I am glad I was able to put together helpful information that is positive in hopes it will inspire those who are suffering and their families. If you would like to buy a copy, please go to lulu.com. Thanks! And please, please, please leave me a review.

Thank you....

To Mark Weller for working with me to do the cover.
