Romance feeds the soul

Who doesn't at least secretly like romantic movies?

I've decided to make a hub about my Top 5 Best Romantic Movies, simply because, it'll be fun!! :) LOL , So here, the following, are at least 5 movies, I've really enjoyed romantically.  I hope you enjoy watching the clips and reading too! ~~And away.........we go!

Oklahoma

CAll me old fashioned, but, Gorden McRae and Shirley Jones are quite the pair in this song "People will say we're in love." Oklahoma!, written by composer Richard Rodgers and lyricist/librettist Oscar Hammerstein II (see Rodgers and Hammerstein), was adapted into a musical film in 1955, starring Gordon MacRae and Shirley Jones. I grew up watching musicals like these with my father, so I dedicate this one to my dad.

Superman II

Yes, I'm sure some of you may be tired of Superman by now, but not I. This is one of my all time favorite movies. It's obvious that Superman who is played by Christopher Reeve is the perfect man from outer space come to save the world, sorta like Jesus Christ IMO. The scene shown describes the meaning behind Superman and what his purpose was on planet earth. Enjoy:)

Ghost..or..Dirty Dancing?

I didn't know which of the two, Dirty Dancing or Ghost to pick, both starring Patrick Swayze, both very erotic and romantic. But I finally chose Dirty Dancing, for there are just so many love scenes, some very passionate, others innocent and romantic. Strarring Jennifer Grey with Swayze, A very successful movie at the box office, a sequel came out: Havanna Nights but I find the first the best.

The Notebook...

Any woman who has seen The Notebook, could not forget the timeless attraction of two stubborn young kids, who drifted apart, yet come back together in this amazing love story. A tale of a marriage couple where the wife (who develops dementia) does not recognize her husband except for short glimpses when he rereads her the story of thier love. Unforgettable. I found this clip fun.

The Phantom of the Opera~Music of the night

The Phantom of the Opera

If you know me, you know I'm a bit biased when it comes to Phantom of the Opera and Gerard Butler who is also in Atilla, P.S. I love you, 300, Dracula, and Tomb Raider to name just a few. Phantom of the Opera, a long love of mine, both muscially [with the original songs sung by Sarah Brightman and Michael Crawford, brilliantly written and composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber]. In my opinion, this is his best work with intoxicating scenes full of romance and mischief. I figured you'd want to see this one up close! :-) @>-->-->-----------

I agree with your choices, but can I add "Jerry McGuire?" The kiss on the porch has got to be the hottest one ever!

Excellent job!

You mentioned two of my favorite. Ghost and The Notebook really resonate with me. It's what true love is all about.
